A Sudanese leader on Monday denied reports by Israeli media that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit Khartoum.
The leader of Sudan's ruling National Congress Party, Abdel Sakhi Abbas, said that Netanyahu cannot visit Sudan, and that there has been no discussion about this visit among official Sudanese circles.
In an exclusive statement to Anadolu Agency, Abbas affirmed that the Israeli reports are baseless.
The Israel Broadcasting Corporation reported on Monday that Netanyahu is planning on visiting Sudan and that Israeli officials are attempting to forge relations with the country.
Abbas stressed that his country's position on the normalization of relations with Israel is clear, and explained that Israel occupies a Muslim Arab country and attacks its holy sites on a daily basis.
