Interior minister Ahsan Iqbal stated on Monday that he was part of the meeting during which Dr Aamir Liaquat declared Nawaz Sharif true leader of Pakistan.
Interior minister’s statement came over an hour after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan formally welcomed Dr Liaquat to PTI in a joint press conference in Karachi today.

He asserted in his tweet that Dr Liaquat had requested Nawaz Sharif to spare some time for a public meeting.
Interior minister claimed in his tweet after Dr Liaquat pledged loyalty to Imran Khan, that he had offered the same to Nawaz Sharif earlier.
