Sindh Police Seeks Help From Spy Agencies To Arrest Rao Anwar
Inspector General of Police Sindh Allah Dino Khawaja on Sunday wrote letter to intelligence agencies seeking help for arrest of suspended Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar.

According to the details, AD Khawaja wrote letters to Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), DG Military Intelligence (MI) and DG Intelligence Bureau (IB) and sought help to arrest Rao Anwar.

IG Sindh said in the letter that they will have to produce the accused before the apex court in Naqeebullah murder case.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had foiled Anwar’s attempt to leave the country from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport on January 23. He had left for Islamabad on January 20 via PIA flight and attempted to flee Dubai on January 23 but the bid was foiled by the FIA.

The Home Ministry of Sindh also wrote late Saturday a letter to the administrations of all four provinces, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Kashmir in light of the pending arrest of suspended Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir Rao Anwar and his team.

Naqeebullah Mehsud, a 27-year-old native of Waziristan, was among four suspected terrorists killed in an ‘exchange of fire’ with a police team led by the then-Malir SSP Rao Anwar on January 13 in Shah Latif Town, Karachi.
