Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari paid visits to Data Darbar and Bibi Pak Daman on Sunday during his visit to Punjab capital.
Zardari summoned a meeting of PPP leaders in Punjab in bid to shortlist potential candidates for General Elections 2018.
PPP Lahore president Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Faisal Mir and Allama Yousaf Awan accompanied the former president to his visit to Data Darbar.
Earlier today it was reported that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Zardari have decided to speed up the electoral campaign for next general elections across the country.
The senior leadership of PPP has decided to oversee the party candidates in all four provinces.
PPP leadership is to convene meetings with party leaders in multiple districts of Punjab and other provinces.
