Movement of justice restoration does not oppose anyone: Nawaz

Nawaz Sharif
Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif, in a recent meeting cleared his stance over the freshly launched movement for restoration of justice, saying it does not oppose the judiciary but intends to work on improving the system.

According to Express News, the deposed PM held a high level meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) bigwigs including Maryam Nawaz, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Hanif Abbasi, Talal Chaudhry, Danial Aziz and Pervez Rasheed at his Jati Umra residence on Wednesday.

The attendees discussed the plan of action for general elections 2018 and gathered what needs to be addressed at the Kot Momin convention on December 31.

Nawaz further said that it is time for him to get active, reach out and deliver PML-N’s message to the masses.

Earlier at the party’s social media convention, Nawaz lashed out at the judiciary and Imran Khan.

“We will start a movement for the restoration of justice in the country like we initiated a movement for the restoration of the judiciary once,” Sharif told reporters earlier.

The former prime minister, who was disqualified by a Supreme Court bench on July 28 this year said, “A country can only progress if justice is the supreme force in it.”

“Khan has admitted that he owns an offshore company but even then you can see the difference in judgement of the cases,” said Sharif while referring to the apex court judgement in which petitions seeking the disqualification of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairperson were rejected.
