Jahangir Tareen Nominates Son as PTI Candidate For NA-154 By-poll

The disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen has nominated his son Ali Tareen as PTI candidate for by-poll of NA-154, the seat fell vacant after his disqualification by apex court.

He made the announcement while addressing to party workers and local leadership at his residence in Lodhran.

“I nominated my son Ali Tareen as PTI candidate for NA-154 by-poll on the insist of workers and local party leaders,” Tareen said by announcing his son’s formal candidature on the seat.

According to sources the Ali Khan Tareen has acquired the nomination papers that will be submitted tomorrow, Thursday.

However, PTI bitter rivalry and ruling party PML-N has yet to file his candidate due to some party’s internal issues.

The by-election will be held on NA-154 on February 12.

On December 15, the Supreme Court announced its much-awaited verdict, rejecting plea to disqualify Imran Khan and declared PTI’s key party leader Jahangir Tareen disqualified on the petitions filed by PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi.
